Day 152 – A Year in the Bible – Job 34-36
______
JOB 34 – HIS EYES ARE UPON THE WAYS OF MAN
He Seth All His Goings
For his eyes are upon the ways of man, And he seeth all his goings. There is no darkness, nor shadow of death, Where the workers of iniquity may hide themselves. For he will not lay upon man more than right; That he should enter into judgment with God. He shall break in pieces mighty men without number, And set others in their stead. Therefore he knoweth their works, And he overturneth them in the night, so that they are destroyed. He striketh them as wicked men In the open sight of others; Because they turned back from him, And would not consider any of his ways: So that they cause the cry of the poor to come unto him, And he heareth the cry of the afflicted. When he giveth quietness, who then can make trouble? And when he hideth his face, who then can behold him? Whether it be done against a nation, or against a man only: That the hypocrite reign not, Lest the people be ensnared. – Job 34:21-30
______
JOB 35 – SURELY GOD WILL NOT HEAR VANITY
Judgment is Before Him
Surely God will not hear vanity, Neither will the Almighty regard it. Although thou sayest thou shalt not see him, Yet judgment is before him; therefore trust thou in him. – Job 35:13-14
______
JOB 36 – NEITHER CAN THE NUMBER OF HIS YEARS BE SEARCHED OUT
I will Fetch My Knowledge from Afar
Elihu also proceeded, and said, Suffer me a little, and I will shew thee That I have yet to speak on God’s behalf. I will fetch my knowledge from afar, And will ascribe righteousness to my Maker. For truly my words shall not be false: He that is perfect in knowledge is with thee. – Job 36:1-4
Behold, God is Great
Behold, God is great, and we know him not, Neither can the number of his years be searched out.
Job 36:26
