Envy Rots the Bones

1 Samuel 2:22–4:22; John 5:24-47; Psalm 106:1-12; Proverbs 14:30-31

Envy Rots the Bones
A sound heart is the life of the flesh: but envy the rottenness of the bones. – Proverbs 14:30

For the Lord Revealed Himself to Samuel by the Word of the Lord
And Samuel told him every whit, and hid nothing from him. And he said, It is the LORD: let him do what seemeth him good. And Samuel grew, and the LORD was with him, and did let none of his words fall to the ground. And all Israel from Dan even to Beer-sheba knew that Samuel was established to be a prophet of the LORD. And the LORD appeared again in Shiloh: for the LORD revealed himself to Samuel in Shiloh by the word of the LORD. – 1 Samuel 3:18-21

If Ye Believed Not His (Moses’) Writings, How Shall Ye Believe My Words?
Do not think that I will accuse you to the Father: there is one that accuseth you, even Moses, in whom ye trust. For had ye believed Moses, ye would have believed me: for he wrote of me. But if ye believe not his writings, how shall ye believe my words? – John 5:45-57

Then Believed They His Words
And the waters covered their enemies: there was not one of them left. Then believed they his words; they sang his praise. Psalm 106:11-12
